Our Feb. 9 meeting offered plenty of entertainment, with a Valentine's Day theme. Chairperson Michelle P. set the tone with artistic and playful agendas. Member attendance was excellent and our guest, Ray, expressed his interest in joining.
The Business Meeting was very full! Members were reminded that dues must be paid by March 31. The Feb. 12 dinner at Yianni's promises to be fun. The Whistler Conference organizers are seeking volunteers and workshop presenters - sign up by Feb. 28.
Julie, our VP Education, will be presenting a Moments of Truth session during the March 2 meeting. Though there will not be regular speeches, the meeting will offer a great chance for Tillicum to reinforce their clubstrengths and identify where there is room to improve.
Sam was inducted as a new member and was called upon to deliver his first Table Topics speech. He asserted his anti-Valentine's Day sentiments with clarity and good humour.
Speeches were delivered by Mariam, Michelle L. and Rod, with Maurice, Lindsey and Julie providing constructive evaluations.
Best Table Topics Speaker was John, who offered his own ideas about a perfect kiss. Best Program Speaker was Mariam, and Best Evaluator was Maurice.
Feb. 16 will be Chaired by Margot, who has chosen the theme: My Favourite 2008 Movie.
