BBQ Boastings!

Queen's Park was our venue for the August 16, 2004 BBQ/Picnic - and what an event it was, with a good turnout of members, guests and families, and lots of good food!

Thanks to Hal as our chef extraordinaire, and to Alex for his ever-generous use of his BBQ!

Maurice did a wonderful job acknowledging and assessing the excellent work of the outgoing executive. He then inducted the new executive, with eloquent and complimentary flair.

Rosemary was awarded the Toastmaster of the Year Award - rightly so, as she has accomplished so much in a short space of time. While she is about to complete her ATM B, she is also working hard in her new role as VP Education. Congratulations Rosemary!

It was time for fun when Hal jumped into action with an impromptu (how appropriate) Table Topics session and brought up four volunteers with the theme of the Summer Olympics (New Westminster style!!)

Mary K was busy with the signup sheet, as she will be chairing the August 23rd meeting, the theme of which is "My ideal vacation would be ...". Please help Mary as she looks for members to complete roles, as this is her first attempt at chairing a meeting.

Enjoy our beautiful weather and look forward to seeing you all on August 23rd!
