The Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests took place at Tillicum, and we welcomed our guests: Susan and Jarrod on their first visit, and thanks again to Troy on his second visit to the club, as our guest.
Alex chaired the contest and congratulations go to our two winners: George, for his humorous speech, and Hal, for his table topics entry. Both move on to the Area Contest, which will be held on Wednesday evening, October 13, 2004 at the BC Hydro Building in Burnaby. We wish them much success on this occasion! Do come out and support your fellow members!
We will next meet on Monday, October 18, and Maureen will continue to promote and collect monies for the Pizza Evening on Monday, October 25: $10 — $5 for the pizza and $5 for Tillicum — such a deal!! It was a fun event when first held in May, and we hope to have a good turnout again at the end of October.
