Thank you to everyone who attended the Club International Speech and Evaluation Contests; such a good turnout and a great well-paced evening.
We welcomed our first-time guest Patricia and returning guest Joe. Thanks for visiting and we hope you enjoyed the contests.
Maurice very confidently chaired the evening. The two speech contestants were Mary K and Andrew, and after the intermission Neil was the articulate and humorous Test Speaker for two evaluators, Hal and Antonella. Maurice kept us occupied with contestant interviews during the judging process and we were well entertained by our contestants!
Many thanks to the Timers: Judy and Kuldip; Counters: Roxanna and Troy; Chief Judge Rosemary, and judges Margot and Barb, and Closing Thought from Matthew.
Congratulations go to Andrew, winner of the Speech Contest and to Antonella winner of the Evaluation Contest. The next step is the AREA 80 Contest to be held at Tillicum on Monday, April 11, 2005. Do try to attend to support these members!
Neil has provided us with the Assigned Roles for April to June, so please check these and the Calendar of Events to see what’s in store during the next quarter!
May I wish you Blessings at this Eastertide, and look forward to seeing you on Monday, April 4, 2005.
