Many thanks to Alex for the loan of his BBQ and to Hal who picked it up and later became our chef! Here is Hal multi-tasking - answering phone calls and cooking at the same time - what a guy!!
Alex, as our Immediate Past President, took the time to discharge the outgoing executive of their duties and called in the incoming executive:

Left to right: Rosemary, President;
Neil, VP Education Assistant;
Margot, VP Membership
Jarrod, Secretary;
Alex, Immediate Past President;
Maureen, VP Public Relations;
Antonella, Sergeant-at-Arms;
Troy, Sergeant-at-Arms Assistant;
Sue, Treasurer
In her role as club President, Rosemary presented plaques to Neil, as Rookie Toastmaster of the Year and, in absentia due to illness, to Mary, our VP Education, as Toastmater of the Year. Congratulations to both Neil and Mary on jobs very well done! Mary we wish you a return to good health and a return to Tillicum as quickly as possible!
Once the formalities and announcements were complete, it was on to Charades! The following is a montage of members (who are used to talking!) using only body language to convey movie titles while testing our conjecture!!
Grace and Hal
Just a few glances at the antics of our members during the evening (you really had to be there!) and, as night was drawing near, our picnic also drew to an end.
As a reminder, Maureen referred to Metro Speakers' 25th Anniversary boat cruise on Friday, August 26, aboard the m.v. Hornblower. Such a bargain at four for the price of three! Only $37.50 per person for this three-hour cruise and buffet dinner! Please do contact Maureen should you wish to attend.
We will be back at the club next Monday, August 22nd, when Trish is the Chair, so please assist her in filling the agenda roles.
Best wishes,
