Quite a surprise this evening, as the Area 80 Contest had to be scheduled tonight instead of a regular meeting. The Division J contest will be held at the Library on Sunday, April 9, so we had to do a very quick change to hold the area contest tonight.
A good turnout of Tillicum members and guests, and we welcomed Ingrid and Ward, who joined us for the first time this evening, and our returning guest Xi.
Matt, the Area 80 Governor, chaired the contests and was also the test speaker. Thanks again Tillicum for being the host club and to all those involved in putting on the contest.
Congratulations to Tom for winning the Area 80 International Speech Contest and to Maureen for winning the Evaluation Contest. Both Tom and Maureen move on to the Division J Contests starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Auditorium, New Westminster Public Library this coming Sunday, April 9 – registration at 1:00 p.m.
Our regular meeting schedule resumes on April 10. We will not meet on April 17 (Easter Monday) and will return on April 24 – April has moved on so quickly!
