It was good to be back at the club following my very lovely visit to the UK, and on this occasion we had the Tables Topics Contest and Humorous Speech Contests.
We welcomed our first-time guests Patricia and Yoko and returning guest Lily. Many thanks to you for visiting us and glad to hear that you enjoyed the contests!

Congratulations to Antonella who won the Table Topics Contest speaking on her choice of a German Shepherd as her mascot for the 2010 Olympics and to Susan who won the Humorous Speech Contest with her amusing delivery of "Only in Canada - pity!"
Both Antonella and Susan move on to the Area 80 contest which will probably take place about mid-October, date to be determined.
There will not be a meeting on October 9, as it is the Thanksgiving Holiday, so do join us the following Monday, October 16, when Carol will be Chair. The theme of the meeting is Favourite Shoes - so please assist Carol as she requests you to complete roles; sounds like fun!!
Don't forget that the Fall Conference will soon be here in just six weeks, so please volunteer your expertise and time to help at this fun and educational event!
