Despite it being "a dark and stormy night", there was a very good turnout at Burnaby City Hall where Burnaby Toasters hosted the Division J contest for Areas 80, 81, 82, 83, and 84.
We are so pleased to advise that Maurice of Tillicum Toastmasters achieved 3rd place in the Humorous Speech Contest.
He has only been a member of Tillicum since last April and this was his first contest, so we are certainly pleased to advise that John achieved 1st place in the Table Topics Contest! Congratulations to both Maurice and John on placing at the Division level!
John will represent Division J in the Table Topics Contest at the District Conference in Harrison Hot Springs on Sunday, November 4. Let’s try to support him by our attendance at the conference!
