“Favourite Movies” was tonight’s theme and we welcomed first-time guests Ling, Sheila and David and returning guests Doris, Jing Jing and Grace. Thanks so much for visiting and glad you enjoyed the evening.
Anita chaired tonight’s meeting and did a great job bridging and keeping the meeting to theme and on time.
Michelle L as Grammarian chose Enchant as the word of the day, meaning to attract and move deeply; example: “A beautiful and thoughtful woman, she enchanted all the men’s hearts!” Interspersed very easily during the meeting, enchant proved to be a good choice!
Lutz as Table Topics Master offered five movie-related scenarios and Rosemary got the Oscar for the Best Table Topics when describing how she would conduct a nude scene with Brad Pitt while plowing her husband with drinks so he wouldn’t know what was happening – such a deal!!! Great job Rosemary and well played out!
Our two program speakers were Mariam and Susan, both delivering excellent speeches. Mariam did an excellent job in delivering her Ice Breaker and won the Oscar for the Best Speaker, while Julie won the Oscar for the Best Evaluator, for her evaluation of Susan’s speech.
