Antonella Chaired the meeting and did such a great job, really loving the theme: Spring! - Wonderful bridging and keeping the meeting on theme and on time. Well done Antonella!
Margot, as Grammarian, chose Auspicious (adj.) as the word of the day. Meaning favourable, favoring success, Margot offered an example: "With the sun shining brightly, it was an auspicious day for a picnic.” Used sparingly throughout the evening, Grace as the Toastmaster cleverly changed that when her toast included the word of the day! Good report from Margot.
Michelle L. as Table Topics Master called on four members to speak on spring-related issues, and both Brad and Rod tied as Best Table Topics Speakers.
Our two program speakers were Mariam (Speech #7 CC) and Rosemary, who is again going through the Advanced Bronze manuals. Great deliveries from each speaker and Mariam won the Best Speaker Award and Tom the Best Evaluator Award for his evaluation of Rosemary’s speech. Congratulations to all winners!

Congratulations also to one of our newer members, Mariam who entered the Evaluation contest and took 2nd place. Well done Mariam on entering contests so early in your Toastmaster journey!
As well at this evening's meeting, Margot presented Brad with the club certificate for achieving Competent Communicator - nicely done Brad, moving through each project very consistently and providing us with much entertainment along the way! Thank you!
Thanks too to the many members who have paid for the Canadian Club dinner when Peter Legge is the guest speaker. With only two weeks to go to the great event, you are encouraged to come out to this very special function, enjoy great food and listen to a world-renowned speaker. Please contact Maureen for further information.
Rosemary has offered to chair the April 14 meeting with the theme Guinness World of Records – so please assist her in filling roles.
Look forward to seeing you on the 14th!
Best wishes,
