Mariam, as Grammarian, chose the appropriate Ludicrous (adj.) as the word of the day. Meaning: causing or deserving laughter because of absurdity, and with the example: “I always felt ludicrous when I had to wear my winter hat with the earflaps”, ludicrous was aptly used during the meeting. Well done Mariam!
During the Business Meeting chaired by Julie, our latest member Christine was inducted into Tillicum Toastmasters. Congratulations Christine and we welcome you to the fold!
Michelle L. took delight in her role as Table Topics Master and offered five scenarios relating to hats of varying designs and situations. Especial congratulations to our latest member Christine, in her first-ever Table Topics role, on being voted as the Best Table Topics Speaker, and Margot, who evaluated Table Topics was voted Best Evaluator. Congratulations to you both! Well done too Michelle for your enthusiasm and uniqueness!

Please don’t forget the Celebrations Night on Monday, June 23 – our last meeting of this Toastmaster Year – so let it go out with a bang and enjoy the Pizza Night prior to the meeting. Please arrive about 6:45 p.m. to have pizza and beverages, and then prepare for a 7:30 p.m. start for the meeting.
